Known for its full-body Suspension Trainer system, TRX has added more strings to its bow, including this super-durable exercise ball that’s been designed to cope with weights up to 1,000lb (453kg). So not only will it withstand you and your weights, but the entire front row of a rugby scrum too.

TRX Stability Ball features

Made from a non-slip vinyl, the ball looks the business and its robust feel inspires confidence. Its thick walls make it an excellent option for everyday use. Don’t expect the grip to quiet as good as some of the other exercise balls on test though.

Its resilience may make the TRX Stability Ball perfect for strength-based workouts but despite its non-slip material there’s insufficient grip to feel confident doing more dynamic exercises.

You’ll need your own pump to inflate the Stability Ball, and you don’t get a spare valve either, but once pumped up its firmness is faultless and the ball feels extra supportive.

Size-wise there are two options: 55cm diameter for heights 5ft 1in to 5ft 8in (155cm to 175cm) or 65cm for 5ft 8in to 6ft 1in (175cm to 185cm). It only comes in black but you do get unlimited access to TRX’s virtual fitness studio, which includes live classes seven days a week and hundreds of self-guided on-demand workouts to help you get the most from your Stability Ball.
