Represent’s aptly named 247 range of technical clothing is designed to be worn all day, every day. Its £130 sweatpant may look the business for casual situations but does it do the business in active ones?
To justify that price tag the 247 track pant will have to do both – and it’s safe to say it does. Not only will it look at home kicking back at your post-session coffee house, it won’t look out of place after hours either. It’s the kind of sweatpant you can wear all day primarily because it performs so well during the active part of it. I felt confident keeping these on well after a sweaty workout because they breathe and move so well.
Represent 247 Track Pant features
Good breathability usually means quick drying, and that’s also the case here. They’re water repellent too so will stand up to shrugging off showers as well as sweat. You’d think the slimline cut would mean they’d stick to your skin as the heat ramps up, but the 247 is light enough to glide over damps skin.
The four-way stretch fabric means they move comfortably with you even during intense workouts and don’t feel restrictive. You can adjust the hem for a more tapered look or a looser feel depending on how you’re using them.
The elasticated waist is adjustable too, though I’d have preferred a wider waist band for extra comfort. Represent has storage nailed, with side zip pockets and cargo pockets with extra zipped compartments capable of swallowing phones, keys, protein bars and more. They’re not as baggy as most cargo pockets either, so won’t sag by your knees when loaded.
With that waistband and hem adjustability, and sizes from XS to XXL, it’s easy to find an optimum fit. There are six colours too, including two camo varieties. Yes, there’s no getting away from the fact that the 247 Track Pant is expensive for a sweatpant. But it’s well made, has a good shape and plenty of flexibility for wearing inside the gym and beyond.
