The results are completely seamless running socks with strategic padding, breathable zones and reinforcements where you need them most.

If you’re looking for a sock to add warmth and comfort on colder runs, these merino-blend Run Winter One socks are designed specifically to handle lower temperatures and frosty sessions. In my tests, that worked fairly well, though they couldn’t prevent numb toes on some runs where the temperature hit close to zero. Stance’s thicker Performance Icon Run Crew socks were better.

The mid-length legs are virtually cuffless. There’s just the small ring of fabric that holds them securely without any uncomfortable pinching, even on longer runs. The toes and heels have extra padding that makes for a nice protective ride. Extra cushioning rises up the achilles for added protection and the seamless toes create a comfy fit that’s also friction-free.
As a thicker sock they don’t play too nicely with tight-fitting race shoes. You might need a thinner alternative for shoes like the Nike Alphafly.
They feature a mix of merino with Natex – a 100% plant-based nylon fibre that’s good at moving moisture. But I wasn’t a huge fan of the slight scratchiness. It’s nothing serious but they’re not as soft against the skin as the likes of the Falke Stablizing Cool socks that I also tested. Loose yarn loops on the inside of the sock also had a habit of catching my toe nails.
There’s good stretch around the toes, so your pinkies can wriggle unimpeded. Plus the one-piece construction gives the socks a really solid durability. These definitely offer big mileage reliability.
